Ferdiox uses attribution and links to help readers understand where information comes from. Facts are not owned by a source, but the particular words, photographs, illustrations, video, audio and design used to express them may be protected.
Source selection
We prefer primary sources where practical: research papers, official datasets, public records, legislation, court or regulatory documents, direct interviews and statements from the organisation responsible. We may use reputable secondary reporting to add context or identify a lead.
A source being official does not make every claim automatically correct. We consider proximity to the facts, evidence, expertise, incentives, date and whether independent confirmation is available. Scientific findings are described with the level of certainty supported by the research.
Attribution and links
We aim to name or link material sources when doing so helps the reader and does not create an overriding legal, ethical or safety concern. Links are provided for reference; Ferdiox does not control external sites and does not endorse everything they contain.
Confidential sources may be protected where there is a reasonable editorial reason. We try to describe their knowledge and the reason for anonymity without exposing their identity.
Quotations
We use limited quotations where the exact wording is newsworthy or needed for accuracy, criticism, review or reporting. Longer source material is normally summarised in our own words with attribution and a link. We do not intentionally republish whole articles, photographs or substantial creative works merely because they are available online.
Images and other media
Images and media should be commissioned, licensed, supplied with appropriate permission, available under a compatible open licence, in the public domain, or otherwise used on a lawful basis. Credits and licence information are included where required or useful. Stock or illustrative images should not be presented in a way that falsely identifies a person, place or event.
Copyright concerns
If you believe Ferdiox has used protected material without an adequate basis, email hello@astronomica.uk with the page URL, a description of the work, evidence of ownership or authority, the location of the original, and the action you request. Misleading notices may delay assessment.
We will make a reasonable effort to review a clear notice and may amend a credit, replace or restrict material, seek further evidence, rely on an applicable exception, or make no change. We do not guarantee a response or removal unless the law requires it.
Reuse of Ferdiox material
Unless a different licence is stated, original Ferdiox text and media remain protected by applicable copyright law. Brief quotation with fair attribution may be permitted by law, but wholesale republication requires permission. Contact hello@astronomica.uk for licensing enquiries.
