Corrections Policy

Ferdiox wants its published work to be accurate. If you believe an article contains a factual error, please email hello@astronomica.uk.

What to include

  • The URL and headline of the article.
  • The specific words or claim you believe are wrong.
  • A brief explanation of the issue.
  • Reliable evidence or a link to a primary source where possible.
  • Your connection to the subject, if relevant.

Clear, specific requests are easier to assess. A disagreement with an opinion, emphasis or editorial judgement is not necessarily a factual error.

How we assess requests

We will make a reasonable effort to compare the disputed point with available evidence and the material relied on at publication. We may ask for more information, consult the writer or source, seek specialist input, or decide that no change is warranted.

We do our best to review credible correction requests, but we do not guarantee a reply, a fixed review period or a change unless required by law. Repeated, abusive, vague or unsupported requests may not receive a response.

Possible outcomes

  • Correction: a factual error is amended.
  • Clarification: accurate material is made clearer or given additional context.
  • Update: new information is added after publication.
  • No change: the published wording remains supported or the request concerns opinion rather than fact.
  • Removal or restriction: used only when there is a sufficiently strong editorial or legal reason.

Material corrections will normally be made transparent with a note explaining the substance of the change. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, link or style changes may be made without a note. Adding later developments does not necessarily mean the original report was wrong.

Rights of reply and legal concerns

A person or organisation directly affected by significant criticism may ask us to consider a response. Publication, length and placement remain editorial decisions, subject to applicable law. If your request raises a legal issue, identify it clearly; please do not send confidential material unless we have agreed to receive it.
