Complaints Policy

Readers can raise concerns about Ferdiox journalism, conduct, privacy, accessibility or commercial labelling by emailing hello@astronomica.uk.

Before making a complaint

For a simple factual error, our Corrections Policy is usually the quickest route. For other concerns, include the article URL, the part of the content or conduct at issue, the reason for your complaint, any supporting evidence, and the outcome you would like us to consider.

Please tell us whether you are directly affected, acting with authority for someone else, or raising a wider public-interest concern. Do not send confidential, highly sensitive or legally privileged material unless we have agreed to receive it.

What we may consider

  • Accuracy, misleading presentation or missing context.
  • Unfair treatment, privacy or avoidable harm.
  • Source attribution, copyright or image licensing.
  • Failure to identify advertising, sponsorship or supplied material.
  • Accessibility barriers.
  • Contributor conduct connected with Ferdiox work.

How we handle complaints

We will make a reasonable effort to assess clear, good-faith complaints against the material available to us and our published policies. We may ask for clarification, consult the writer or editor, review source documents, obtain professional advice, or take no further action.

Possible outcomes include a correction, clarification, update, label, accessibility adjustment, restriction, removal, explanation or no change. Editorial and legal judgement remains with Ferdiox.

We do not promise an acknowledgement, response, deadline, appeal process or particular outcome unless applicable law requires one. We may decline to engage with abusive, threatening, repetitive, irrelevant, deceptive or unsupported correspondence.

Further review

If you believe we have materially misunderstood a complaint, you may send one concise request for reconsideration with any new evidence. We may decide that our previous response is final.
